Description
Considered to be one of the finest destinations to view lowland fynbos, flowering Proteas and other indigenous flora – the Van Stadens Wild Flower Reserve offers a fabulous opportunity for you and your family or friends to get back in touch with nature. It is the oldest reserve of its kind in the country, and is home to a large variety of bird, animal and plant species, with the main objective being to protect and propagate the unique indigenous flora.
The terrain changes from striking rocky gorges to indigenous coastal forest, from river banks to a large plateau with spectacular views!
Mountain bikers are welcome to explore the plateau section of the reserve, and there are several picnic sites connected by a number of gravel roads and tracks which makes for a great outing.
