Ocean Series Sunday
A record number of entries for Season XI took part in the 3rd round of the fortnightly aQuellé Ocean Racing Series at Hobie Beach on Sunday morning with 559 entries having been received.
Near perfect beach conditions ensured a packed Hobie Beach following the cancellation of Round 2 a fortnight ago due to gale force off-shore winds. Ian Venter and Kirsten Marriott won the 1km Ocean Swim race whilst Daniel Jones and Denise Bosman took the 2km swim honours. Wayne Jones and Tracy Gous won the 3km swim with Grobbie Grobler and Emily Stemmett taking out the 5km Beach Walk. Dylan Finlay and Julia Pringle won the 5km Beach Run.
The next aQuellé Ocean Racing Series race day takes place on Sunday 22nd November. See www.oceanracingseries.co.za for full results and other Series information.
