New Holiday adds to J’Bay Festivities
Put on your takkies, it is time for the biggest 10 km road race in Jeffreys Bay!
Jeffreys Bay Striders would like to welcome Caltex Wavelands and Freshstop on board as new main sponsors for our annual Holiday Run.
Caltex Eastern Cape Marketer (CECM) acting CEO, Pat Kelly said that they were excited to be part of the inaugural race this year. “We believe in adding value to the communities in which we operate, not just as the fuel provider, but also by adding value in creating platforms that encourage healthy living and comradery.”
Kelly said that the Caltex Wavelands Holiday Run has great potential and will bolster an already brimming events programme for the upcoming holidays. He added, “Caltex is committed to making your travels more enjoyable, safer and easy – so make sure that you pop in at one of the many Caltex service stations during your travels this festive season”.
Freshstop regional business consultant Roy Price said the company, which operates its convenience stores on Caltex forecourts, welcomed the opportunity to participate in the sponsorship as supporting sport and recreation aligned with “our ethos of promoting clean, healthy living for all”.
“Caltex Wavelands is very popular in this area, and Freshstop here is growing thanks to community support and so we are very happy and proud to be able to give something back,” Price said.
As Kouga Municipality’s Mayor, Mr. Hendricks said: “As we near the end of another year, it gives me great pleasure to welcome all visitors to Kouga, the Events Capital of South Africa. We expect this festive season to be extra special, with more to see and do in our region than ever before.”
