Wendy Oldfield and Robin Auld combine a mix of djembe, soul vocals, harmonica, stompboard and African blues guitar stylings to create a fresh roots sound. Both veterans of the South African touring circuit with many hit songs along the way, their collaboration is uplifting and upbeat with roots versions of their old hits along with their contemporary catalogue

20th Dec: FOXTROT live at Art on Target
FOXTROT will perform their live soundtrack for the classic silent film ” Piccadilly” at Art on Target. The film is 1h40min and will have 20 minute half-time interval. FOXTROT is an experimental post-genre band born late 2016. Elements of jazz, classical, electro, rock and pop are fused into what they like to call “fox-pop”

21st Dec: Zambuktu: ‘songs of Love and Death’
Zambuktu is a band whose core member are Joe Van Der Linden and Tim Hopwood. They will be launching their first CD, Songs of Love and Death, where they will be joined by John Dickin, Kendal Beadon Megan Du Toit and Herman van Wyk. Their genre of music is Folk Rock. Dubbed the ‘Leonard Cohen of the Karoo’ Tim Hopwood and Zambuktu take you on a musical journey through his heartland and experiences.

22nd Dec: “A lyrical Journey” by Hagen Engler
Writer/singer/poet Hagen Engler performs in PE for one night only
Writer, poet, singer and spoken-word performer Hagen Engler presents an evening of adventures in words, titled “A Lyrical Journey”, incorporating stories, anecdotes, rhymes, raps, poems and acoustic songs. The offerings from his years as a lyrical artist will include tales from his published works including Port Elizabeth stories Life’s A Beach, Greener Grass and Magnum Chic; songs written with his bands Jedi Rollers and The Near Misses; and poems created by his alter ego Inspector Ras.
Featured performer on the night will be Kendal Beadon, multi-instrumentalist virtuoso musician, on guitar, keyboards and programming.
Everyone who attends the one-night-only performance will receive a free, limited-edition copy of one of Hagen’s books.
