New broom sweeps clean at B and E Conference Centre

2014 has been a very exciting year thus far for the B and E Conference Centre. It has been given a new name, a new owner, and a refreshed vision and mission statement.

Melissa Paul was offered the amazing opportunity by the previous owners of the B&E Business Centre to take over the conference and catering division of the business. Melissa has eagerly accepted this opportunity and is now the proud Director of the new and developing B and E Conference Centre.

With fresh beginnings at hand Melissa is transforming the business into a one stop shop for any training company or facilitator. With her main focus being on the training and education industry Melissa has moulded her conference packages to offer the most affordable and flexible conferencing solutions to meet the needs within the industry.

Being a new Director in business, Melissa is taking every opportunity she is faced with to learn more about the industry, and integrating new systems with old ones to create an improved and more organized environment for her clients. With a revised mission and vision statement, Melissa aims to increase her clientele by means of advertising and marketing, as well as building stronger relationships with her existing clients by offering a personal touch to each individual training session.

Melissa has aligned herself and her company with the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber as well as the Show Me Port Elizabeth website, The Eastern Cape Small Business Network, Tourism Port Elizabeth, the Business Woman’s Association and has recently signed on with Algoa FM. She believes that this will increase exposure for the B and E Conference Centre, and allows her the opportunity to introduce herself as a new business owner within the region. She is grateful for every opportunity offered to network and meet with new business owners within her industry and out.

The B and E Conference Centre comprises of seven different training rooms, thus offering many different ways in which one can train. The tables and chairs are movable, thus creating a versatile environment to accommodate any type of training. All venues have air-conditioning, and are fully equipped with the basic training equipment (flipchart stand, white board/projection wall, tables, chairs, etc.) and other equipment can be arranged if necessary. The catering and coffee shop is managed by her Food and Beverages Manager – Sithembiso Madi (or better known as Tee), who provides delicious meals and packages to suite individual training requirements. Custom designed menus are also created by Tee according to personal taste and preference.
