Plettenberg Bay is the southernmost wine of origin region in the Western Cape with vineyards and a new cellar in the Crags built on the success of the Bramon Wine Estate’s additions to the South African wine catalogue. South African wines and brandies, and South African breweries are well known for quality and excellence, and Plett is a good place to start a self-drive tour via Knysna (stop to enjoy the local draught beer), then on up into the Klein Karoo and along the R62 brandy and wine route to Cape Town.
