Pro Dive Plettenberg Bay received an outstanding review from a guest who thoroughly enjoyed his experience of diving with the seals.

‘The coolest seal dive ever! And it’s not far from Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

I have had a chance to try the Seal Dive in Plettenberg Bay and I have been on a few seal dives before, however, I would rate this one as the coolest.

It is one of the largest Seal colonies I’ve ever seen. There were probably up to a thousand Cape Fur Seals (Arctocephalus pusillus) lying on the shoreline.

When you jump into the water at a depth of only 4-5 meters, loads of seal pups come into the water and observe you up close and personal.

The diving session is limited to around 20 minutes each time because the hundreds of Seals are so energetic and the interaction becomes more intense. Don’t be surprised if they start to bite your hoodie or fins.
