SAPREC – Adopt a penguin or donate a brick
As an NPO we are reliant on donations from companies and individuals to maintain and operate our rehabilitation centre.
We are currently relocating the centre to larger, purpose-built premises as the premises we had been leasing for 15yrs has been sold and the new owners cannot accommodate us. Our letter is, yes, a plea for funding and/or partners in some form or another to sustain our work and to assist in our relocation, which includes building the new centre.
We are a non-profit organization(NPO) that was registered in Mossel Bay, South Africa during 2005 specifically to rescue and rehabilitate primarily, the highly endangered African Penguin that washes up on our coastline.
Whether injured, sick or exhausted the African Penguin and also other ‘’sea birds’’ are always in need of assistance.
Would you consider a monthly donation as a donor/partner or a one-off donation to buy a brick to our centre? Click here then select DONATE.
Would you like to adopt a Penguin for a monthly sponsorship to name, rehabilitate and house an African Penguin? CLICK to enquire.
(An Article 18A Tax exception certificate is available on request)
Any amount would be sincerely appreciated no matter how small! Please consider our appeal for funding with penguin conservation in mind.
Approximately 100 – 150 seabirds are brought to SAPREC for rehabilitation every year.
“The African Penguin could be extinct by the year 2030 if the current trend continues and is now on the endangered list”
