Seal pups make it to saftey
Wild Ocean Conservation is delighted to report that a number of tagged seal pups have safely made their journey to the protected rocky pools found along Robberg Peninsula’s southern shoreline.
These pups are now at an age when they start exploring even further away from their original nursery areas at the colony, due to natural curiosity.
For some, the onset of weaning is slowly approaching, and they may start supplementing their diet with bits and pieces of whatever they find in the inter-tidal zone.
Sheltered from prowling white sharks at the colony during this time of year, these protected pools provide a safe haven for pups to play and develop their skills.
