Tshisa Talent Final 2010
Lunchbox Theatre, Bitou Tourism and of course the artists who performed, presented an amazing show last night. From singers to choirs, dancers to arts and crafts, it just showed us that Plettenberg Bay has so much hidden talent.
The Whitehouse Theatre hosted the Tshisa Talent Final last night; guests were treated like stars when they were welcomed by the sound of drums by Patrick and the Drummers as they walked down the red carpet.
The show started with the powerful singing talents of Ammori Sass followed by Rubin Prince, Michè Collison and the duo Donovan and Priscilla. The level of talent that Plettenberg Bay has to offer is very impressive. These singers put their heart and soul into each of their songs – it was truly amazing!
The Masiqine Choir was up next and had a lot to compete with – they definitely wowed the crowd and did a very good job of making us shed a tear or two. Beautiful.
Kwanokuthula’s Wezman Theatre Group performed an original piece of theatre, playing characters “the blind father” and “the gay son” gave the crowd a good chuckle with their witty sense of humour and fantastic costumes.
Then came the dance groups; you can’t help but automatically tap your feet when they are performing. “So you think you can dance South Africa”, here we come! These guys were really good! Broken Puzzle and B-5 Dance Group both had amazing choreography, music and personality.
We all felt really sorry for the judges – they had a tough decision to make; with so much talent who do you choose? I think everybody in the finals was a winner – well done to all the artists!!
