Born in Africa survey:
Born in Africa recently held a survey in two of the schools we work in, Crags Primary and Plett Secondary school. The survey was held to establish the reality of what exactly our youngsters are getting up to regarding their use of alcohol, drugs, cigarette smoking, “cutting”school and promiscuity amongst teenagers. A total of 221 children from Gr 7-12 (13-18 year, 88% was younger than 16 years old) took part in the questionnaires which revealed rather shocking answers.We published the statistics in a local newspaper during the FIFA World cup soccer tournament. This was to encourage our parents/guardians to at all times be aware of their children’s where abouts.
