WATCH – Spotted Thick-Knee rehabilatation
Tenikwa Wildlife Rehabilitation and Awareness Centre received an injured Spotted Thick-Knee.
Over the last weekend of May 2020, Cape Nature brought a Spotted Thick-Knee to the Tenikwa Wildlife Rehabilitation and Awareness Centre. He was found by a caring member of the public after being attacked by a dog. They took him to the vet and it was discovered that his right leg was broken.
Since his arrival, he has been carefully fed every day and Tenikwa is happy to report that he is doing better each day and his appetite is increasing. They are hoping that he will make a full recovery and eventually be released into the wild, where he belongs.
Hi guys, Last weekend Cape Nature brought us a Spotted Thick-Knee. He was found by a caring member of the public after he was attacked by a dog. They took it to the vet and it was discovered that his right leg was broken. Cape nature brought the bird to us. Since the arrival we have been carefully feeding it everyday. We are happy to report that he is doing better and better each day and he is eating more and more.
