Fabulous Fashion Festival
After days, weeks and months of preparations for the Spring Fashion Festival, Linda Batt and her organising team were thrilled (and relieved) that the event went so well.
The Ouland Royale venue looked fabulous and the elegant ladies who attended seemed to enjoy the delicious brunch and the social buzz in this very special environment. Amanda Forrow, well-known TV and Radio personality, who was the compere and auctioneer for the event, kept the ladies entertained with her amusing anecdotes.
Stylish fashions from seven of Plett’s stores were presented by Plett’s own “models”, who all looked as if they had been walking the ramp all their lives. The Fantasy Cake Competition, judged by Myfanwy Bekker, was a great attraction and was won by Claire Rode for her beautiful creation : “Letting go of butterflies”. The cakes were all exceptional works of art and it was very difficult to choose a winner.
The event exceeded all expectations and was a highlight of the Plett social calendar.
PAWS are enormously grateful for the generous support of the Media and participants. We are delighted to report that a total of R26 150 (after expenses) was raised from this event.
