From July 17 to 20, 2025, Rally Estonia delivered one of the most defining moments of the WRC season as Oliver Solberg captured his first-ever FIA World Rally Championship victory. Driving the Toyota GR Yaris Rally1, the 23-year-old stunned the motorsport world by not only securing the top podium spot, but also delivering Toyota Gazoo Racing’s 100th WRC win.

Held across Estonia’s blisteringly fast gravel stages and dense forest roads, the rally was a true test of skill, speed, and nerves. Solberg wasted no time asserting himself, taking the lead during the Friday stages and never looking back. As the competition intensified over the weekend, he maintained his composure, building a steady lead over rally icon Ott Tänak and seasoned contender Thierry Neuville.

By Sunday afternoon, Solberg crossed the finish line with a 25.2-second lead over Tänak, becoming the standout story of the event. The victory marked a breakthrough in the young Swede’s career and signaled the rise of a new star in the WRC arena.
