Differently-Abled sponsored Bowler Julie Deferville
Julie Deferville a member of The Physically Disabled Bowlers of South Africa (PDBSA), has been invited to participate in this year’s Disability National Championships, taking place in Johannesburg from the 15th to the 22nd June 2019.
“Rita Hardaker’s organisation, ‘The Differently-abled Awareness Campaign’ has very kindly sponsored my kit for the event! And I am very proud to wear it, as it represents Rita’s wonderful work towards improving life for the disabled and promoting differently-abled sports.” said Julie.
Julie has received intensive coaching from the very experienced and knowledgeable bowler, Graham Morris. Since practice playing singles are vital, Julie arranged a match between herself and Angie Everson, a top lady bowler in the Plettenberg Bay Bowling Club. And as a special treat, she wore her new Differently-Abled sponsored kit for Rita to see, while Angie wore the club’s uniform.
“I am so very excited to see my dream of Plett becoming a Differently-Abled mecca come true! Julie looks lovely in her kit and we are pleased to play a part in her journey. We wish her great results at the Disability National Championships this year.” says Rita.
