Bitou Young Pirates Aim for ABC Motsepe League
The South African Football Association’s (SAFA) Eden Region is gearing up to host the prestigious Hollywoodbets Regional League Championship in less than two weeks.
Scheduled for July 20th and 21st at Kwanokuthula Stadium in Plettenberg Bay, the event will feature intense playoffs among the winners of the Regional Leagues. This tournament is crucial as it determines which teams will advance to the ABC Motsepe Provincial League for the 2024/2025 season.
Six regional champions, including Bitou Young Pirates FC from Plettenberg Bay, will compete in two groups. The group winners will secure automatic promotion to the Provincial League. Bitou Young Pirates are aiming to follow in the footsteps of Oriented Birds FC to become the second team from Plettenberg Bay to achieve this milestone.
The Hollywoodbets Soccer Regional League Championship will kick-off this weekend at Kwanokuthula Stadium in Plettenberg Bay.
Reflecting on their victory in the Safa Eden Hollywoodbets Regional League, Bitou Young Pirates’ head coach, Sinovuyo Mannie, described it as a deeply gratifying experience. He emphasized the positive atmosphere within the team, noting their shared determination to exceed expectations.
Mannie expressed confidence in the team’s preparations, highlighting their rigorous training and seamless coordination. He credited the management for their unwavering support, enabling him to lead effectively and meet the team’s needs.
