Plettenberg Bay sets up 9 free hand sanitizer stations in local townships
Under the guidance of the Plett COVID-19 Response Team, the Plettenberg Bay Tourism Association and the Bitou Municipality have set-up 9 freehand sanitizer stations in the local townships.
The areas lucky to receive the stations include Bossiesgif, Green Valley, Kranshoek, Kwanokuthula Phase 1, Kwanokuthula Phase 2, New Horizons (both Melkhout Road and Keurbooms Road), Pinetrees and The Crags.
Venter has raised funds from various local business leaders to pay for this project, a wonderful asset to help curb the spread of the coronavirus.
The product currently being used is called F10SC. It is a total spectrum disinfectant that, unlike other strong disinfectants on the market, has no adverse side effects on people, animals, or on equipment and surfaces. It is ecologically friendly and biodegradable and carries a wide range of registrations and approvals from around the world. It is a fantastic hand sanitizer. The 9 x 5000-litre tanks will be maintained and replenished over time.
The tourism sector is fully committed to putting people and their well-being first. “We are excited to roll out these new hand sanitizer stations and are grateful to the donors for making this possible,” says Marius Venter, Plett Tourism CEO.
