Plett Security update Odlands Drive accident
On 01 October, around midnight Plett Security responders, Otto Olivier and Ayanda responded to assist a resident whose vehicle was in an accident near BUCO.
After responding to the incident, Plett Security owner, Otto, proceeded to drive the resident and their vehicle home. The Plett Security Supervisor on duty, Ayanda, followed Otto with the K9 vehicle to the resident’s house.
On their way back to where the supervisor had left his response car, they were involved in a head-on collision around 00h30 on Odlands Drive. It is alleged that the other driver left the scene of the accident before SAPS arrived.
Otto and Ayanda were both admitted to the Medi Clinic Hospital. Otto suffered various injuries and lacerations to his face and eye was transferred to Knysna Hospital to undergo surgery. Ayanda in the meantime is in a lot of pain and waiting to undergo orthopedic surgery.
Both Otto and Ayandi are in stable conditions and awaiting surgeries.
A humungous thank you to all the responders, you are a very special bunch of people.
Godspeed from a very grateful Olivier family.
