Plett Ratepayers Association
Dear Plett Ratepayer members and potential members,
The Plett Ratepayers are an interest group — with one purpose — to look after the interests of its ratepayers (members). What is most important to our members is property values, which is primarily dependent on how well our town is run, including its cleanliness, its image, service delivery, and whether the people in our townships are happy.
When we hear complaints we pass them on to the proper municipal official, but in some cases we think it might be better for Plett residents to speak up if they are not happy with something. It is your right to do so since the municipality works for you!
Therefore, if you feel the Extended Public Works Programme (EPWP) employees in the orange jumpsuits who pick up trash, sweep streets, and other jobs around the municipality are not being well-managed or are nonproductive, and consequently wasting your money as a ratepayer, then send your comments in an email to Siphiwe Dladla, manager in the mayor’s office who is responsible for EPWP workers, at sdladla@plett.gov.za, with a copy to Mayor Booysen at booysenmemory@hotmail.com
