Wool&more – October 2014 Newsletter
Wooo hooo!! I am SO excited! Welcome to our First Birthday at wool&more and to the bumper issue of our monthly newsletter!
It’s a special time for me because whilst the shop is one year old, the concept and behind-the-scenes work before the doors opened for trading went way back to April 2012!!
This is really a great opportunity for me to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you who have supported me and continue to do so – it has been such a pleasure being here to meet your knitting and crocheting needs.
May our relationship grow from strength to strength and span many years to come! Thank you!
I have been asked a number of times for previous newsletters so I have had all of them, since January this year, put onto my website. For past newsletters, please go to www.woolandmore.co.za and enjoy them.
We raffled the “funky blanket” last month and raised a great R230-00. The winner, Caroline Brown, was absolutely beside herself with excitement – she really loves the blanket. Thank you Gail, who knitted the blankie! And even more exciting is that the R230-00 was used to buy food for the Masizame children’s shelter. This big, heavy parcel of food was kindly collected by Nic Coleman, the new PR for Masizame.
And talking of Masizame, we are thrilled and very proud to be dedicating our next few Community Project Programs to the children in their care. Whilst I had often heard vaguely of Masizame, I only recently heard, in detail, all about this amazing organisation (NPO) in Plett and was astounded at the incredible work they do for and with the hugely underpriviledged children of our town. Above is a very brief overview of some of the work they do.
All the best and kind regards
