Wool&more – An appeal and some exciting news!

I am so excited: we have just been given permission to “ wool bomb” the pillar in front of wool&more at 7 Gibb Street!!
We intend to begin immediately and are calling on volunteers to add their creative pieces (knitted or crocheted) to the project!! The idea is to use brightly coloured yarns of all textures to create a really lovely piece of “art” to the exterior of the shop. We have yarns to use or scraps from your stashes will be welcome. I will send a photo of the pillar under separate cover and perhaps you can photograph it while the work is in progress. If this is successful, we will be “bombing” other sites in Plett too!!
On a less “joyful” note, we are appealing for donated clothing for children aged from 6 months old to 6 years old. These will be given to the Come to Learn crèche in Kurland, for whom we are collecting knitted squares for blankets for the little ones. Most often, the parents of these children do not send spare clothes with the children (or spare nappies) and so if they get wet, dirty or cold whilst at crèche, they have nothing to change into. This is an on-going plea – so please clear out your cupboards and bring any clothing for us to send to the crèche. We (and they) so appreciate it.
Have a wonderful week and many thanks
Kind thoughts
