GAA & Plett Restaurant Association hosted by Le Fournil
Le Fournil hosted the GAA and Plett Restaurant Association on the 24th May 2012. Guest speaker for the night was the new head of Strategic Services of our Municipality, Dupré Lombard.
Wayne Craig from Off The Hook and Chairman of the Restaurant Association opened the meeting and was thrilled to mention that there are two great events on the agenda.
Firstly on the 4th June, Plettenberg Bay Country Club will be hosting the Inter-Restaurant Bowling Challenge and for all of those who participated last year will know that it was a really fun day, full of laughs and a chance for all restaurants to network. Three members per team and if you would like to enter your team you can contact Jane Hops on 044 533 1390.
Secondly on the 4th July, the White House will be hosting their Crede Party, hoping to bring the community and restaurants of Plett together. Restaurants have a great opportunity to showcase a “particular or special dish” that makes them unique. If you interested in becoming part of this event contact Louise Craig on 044 533 0796
As of the 1st July 2012, Plett Tourism will be handed over to the Voluntary Association; effectively the people of Plett will be running the Tourism as a business. We wish them well and know that the Voluntary Association will have Plett’s best interest at mind.
A big thanks to Jane & Florence of Le Fournil for their hospitality, delicious food and winter warming wine.
