Bok Masterchefs going for gold at Culinary Olympics
South Africa’s Springbok culinary team is gunning for gold at this year’s IKA Culinary Olympics.
They are competing in two categories – the Chef’s Table challenge and the Restaurant of Nations. The Chef’s Table challenge will take place on Sunday, February 16 and will see culinary athletes creating seven different dishes for 12 people. In the latter they must provide a three-course culinary experience for 110 people, taking place on February 18.
James Khoza, president of SA Chefs Association, hopes the team’s grit will encourage future generations of Springbok chefs to carry the baton.
