Bitou Mayor endorses Adopt A Swimmer for their vital contributions
CEO Louise Auersperg of Adopt A Swimmer (AAS) has received yet another award this year for which she is extremely grateful.
The Annual Mayoral Bursaries Ceremony and Grant-In-Aid Award Ceremony was held at the Piesang Valley community hall on January 28th, 2016. This year 87 students and 14 NPOs were awarded grants in aid.
The Executive Mayor Memory Booysen and the Bitou Council are committed to ensuring that tertiary education becomes more accessible. Their aim is to assist NGO’s & NPO’s whose vision and mission are in line with the mandate of the Bitou Municipality and where they are able to improve the quality of life needed.
Louise Auersperg is once again delighted to have been selected and is most grateful to the mayor and his team. Through their acknowledgement, she is able to enroll more vulnerable children and teach them the valuable life skill of swimming.

Adopt A Swimmer was founded in Plettenberg Bay in 2012 and officially registered as an NPO in March 2013. Their aim to nationalise Adopt A Swimmer.
Swimming assists these underprivileged children by building their integrity, confidence and self-worth.
