Plett Arts Festival – Twilight Meander
ShowMe Plett had the opportunity to see what happens at the Plett Arts Twilight Meander, which took place every Thursday during the festival.
Visitors had an amazing opportunity to discover and meet the best local artists around.
Their art works were displayed in design and décor studios, coffee shops and art galleries throughout Main Road.
First stop was at the Milkwood Gallery, which featured local artists and sculptures by Jeanne Marie Lodewyks and Vivienne Brooks that kept one in awe.
Artists included Jonathan Davies, Helen Mudge, Ilse Kruger, Quintin Grey, Tanya van Wyk, Stephen Rosin, Dallas Smith, Audrey Harvey and Caroline Voster.
Next, we made our way to A&T Design Emporium, a treasure trove filled with artworks, furniture, mirrors, lamps, decorations, doorknobs, hooks, jewellery and much more. One could get lost in this shop for hours!
The Studio at the Lookout Centre was our next stop, where fashion and design meets art. Downstairs is filled with Beautiful Canvases that compliment the locally designed and produced designer ware and upstairs we found Muffin setting up her beautiful new Art Studio – definitely worth a peek or two or three…
Further up at Market on Main, we were entertained by the cutest, sweetest local dance group, the Qolweni Traditional Dance Group. Well done guys!
The Art Meander was a whole lot of fun! A great way to get out, explore and meet the local talent based here in Plett.
