Forgotten fun amidst pestilence
Are you feeling the effects of the pandemic taking hold of your mindset, making you feel lazy and uninterested in much?
Now is the time to change the outcome by reinventing yourself. This little pep talk submitted by Rita Hardaker will definitely set you on the right track.
Jazz things up a bit to enhance your mood.
Have you been climbing up the walls, kids driving you nuts, or working from home has been really difficult at times? It will get better but you have to make it happen.
Ladies, it’s time to break out that lipstick!
Yes, the mask gets most of it – so what? Masks can be washed.
Your make-up has been sitting in the drawer for far too long, right?
Dolly up those eyes, line them, lash up, shape the eyebrows and frame your face. All eyes are on show above the masks, not to mention, make-up eventually expires. How about a pair of gorgeous earrings to match your gorgeous eyes?
Shops are beginning to display their Autumn wear!
Time to burrow into your old winter wear and pile up those old clothes that you have hung on to for ages but do so love because they were quality. You may just get a chance to travel again this year, not in those old clothes! They are probably smelling a bit mouldy and mothy by now.
Book yourself a hair appointment!
Google new hairstyles and new methods, a new perm may be the answer, apparently frizzy ones are out, hooray for that! You are not your birth age, that gets rotten tomatoes! Take off at least 10 years by choosing a new style, maybe a highlight or two, or even more.
Blaming the pestilence for the extra K or two?
Ugh, ugh, you are only bluffing yourself. It’s best to rather do some extra walking or join a stretching class. No, you do not need the extra sugar for energy, no starches either, clothes get starched not humans – especially for ladies who need to feel and look gorgeous.
Accessorise anything and everything.
If you look in the mirror, take a twirl and re-check your attitude with a smile. Straighten your spine, shift your shoulders back, chin up, tuck tummy, and butt in.
What happened to the heels?
Go fetch your favourite pair and then take another look at yourself – forgot how great you look after a feel-good pamper?
Showtime!!!
There is no better way to enjoy your refreshed look than by sharing a romantic dinner at home or at your favourite restaurant with loved ones. Now is the time to get back into your stride ladies, you are gorgeous, believe it!
By the way partners – you have probably also become a bit ratty and stale during the pestilence, time for you too, to saddle-up, good things are a-happening, test negative, and stay POSITIVE.
