I qualified from the University of the Witwatersrand with a B.Arch degree in 1993. I worked in Johannesburg for 6 years before moving to Plettenberg Bay in 2000. After 4 years with a well-established Plett architectural firm, I opened my own practice in 2004.

I am a registered member of the South African Council for the Architectural Profession, a member of the Cape Institute for Architecture and a Corporate Member of the South African Institute of Architects.

Backed by a commitment to articulate and meaningful design, that is both an accurate and advised reflection of your wishes, I strive for both an attention to detail, as well as an enhanced spirit of place that adds positively to the natural and built environment. I pride myself on honest, transparent business practices that further the integrity of the architectural profession.

Services

I offer a range of services to suit the requirements of your project:

Local Authority Submission only
Design and municipal approval for detailing and running your own construction project.

Construction Documentation and Tender
Design, municipal approval, detail documentation and assistance in appointing a contractor for your own administration.

Construction and Administration
Full Principal Agency and a complete service from a vacant piece of ground, through the entire design and construction process, to handing over the keys of your new house.

Although my main focus has been residential work, I have undertaken civic projects for the Bitou Council, completing a Fire Station and Library for the Kurland Village community outside of Plettenberg Bay. My services are not restricted to new builds and I carry out additions, alterations and interior renovations.

My work base is not restricted to Plettenberg Bay and I have completed and have current projects in Hermanus, Natures Valley, Kurland, Knysna and Wilderness.

My contract and fee structure is based on the Client/Architect Agreement published by the South African Institute of Architects and as set out by the South African Council for the Architectural Profession.

I carry full Profession Indemnity which I have never had to use.
