Plettenberg Bay Business Chamber – Gala Evening
Another dazzling and successful Gala evening was held by the Plettenberg Bay Chamber of Business on Friday night. The Beautiful Beacon Island Resort was the venue of choice which offered warmth and a blaze of beautiful fires.
The evening was filled with laughter, music and conversation. Guests were dressed to impress.
Champagne flowed and the air was filled positivity and celebration over a happy Plettenberg Bay, both in business and personally.
The evening was simply fit for a King.
The Plett Business Chamber has been running for the past 16 years.
It serves the business community as well as the town of Plettenberg Bay.
The Chamber has over 100 members and Mike Scholtz is appealing for a bigger membership. “The bigger the voice”. Mike appealed to all and said for a bargain of only R2.70 a day, it was not much to ask for and to be at such a fancy affair.
Next on the cards is the Plett Business Chamber Golf Day which will be on the on the 10th June. This will be held at Goose Valley and has proven to be a fun day each year.
The Boerie Braais are still going strong and the next one will be held at the Angling Club on Thursday, the 28th May. Knysna Roofing will be hosting it.
The Business Chamber amongst other, is meet and greet on a monthly basis and a place to discuss items on the agenda.
Each member has a portfolio for which he or she is responsible.
Mike asked to please assist them to build memberships and make the organisation a strong voice.
Mike reported that all is good in Plett and that a good season was had by all. Tourism is going really well and Plettenberg Bay is back on the map.
Mike recalled the old days when by the end of April, the lights literally went out for the winter months. Tourists are seeing to be visiting on a continuous basis. Thanks to Eskom, they decided to put the lights out periodically throughout the year.
