De Rust, Karoo – 02 October 2025 – What happens when you mix the rugged roads of the Karoo, 30 adventurous cyclists, and a powerful mission to change young lives? You get the Lunchbox Legends Tour 2025 – two days of passion, power, and purpose to raise vital funds for youth theatre and after-school programmes.

From 23–26 October, the quiet town of De Rust and its surroundings will be transformed by bursts of bright orange as cyclists from Plettenberg Bay, Cape Town, and Belgium descend for the Legends Tour, kitted out in their Lunchbox Theatre cycling gear.

Known for its beauty, calm and stillness, this Karoo gem will echo with energy and excitement, with riders covering 100km of rugged terrain and climbing more than 2,000m in just two days! (Photo)

More Than Just a Ride

Here’s a breakdown of what to expect:

• Day 1: Riders venture into the Kammanasie and a private game reserve.
• Day 2: They tackle the foothills of the mighty Swartberg Mountains.
• Day 3: Saddles are swapped for school benches, as riders watch a Lunchbox Theatre show performed for local children – a moving reminder of why they ride
