De Rust, Karoo – 02 October 2025 – The rugged roads of the Karoo once again became a stage for purpose as 30 dedicated cyclists took part in the Lunchbox Legends Tour 2025. Over two demanding days, endurance and determination were channelled into a single goal: raising support for youth theatre and after-school programmes that continue to change young lives across South Africa.

From 23–26 October, De Rust and the surrounding Karoo landscape were transformed as cyclists from Plettenberg Bay, Cape Town, and Belgium gathered for the annual Legends Tour, proudly representing Lunchbox Theatre in bright cycling gear that symbolised the cause they were riding for.

The usually quiet and still Karoo echoed with energy as riders completed more than 100km of challenging terrain and climbed over 2,000 metres across two intense days of cycling.

More Than Just a Ride

Here is how the journey unfolded:

• Day 1: Riders explored the Kammanassie Mountains and a private game reserve, navigating rugged terrain in support of the cause.
• Day 2: The route continued through the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains, testing both endurance and commitment.
• Day 3: The journey concluded with a shift from saddle to classroom seats, as riders attended a Lunchbox Theatre performance for local children – a powerful reminder of the impact behind every kilometre.
