Goldfish charm fans at the Plett Coco Valley Concerts
GOLDFISH in the Park hosted by Coco Valley Concerts took Plett by storm on the 30th December 2017.
Friends and family enjoyed the day picnicking and listening to funky tunes by DJ Dru and later in the evening the crowd went ballistic as Goldfish performed.
Two jazz musicians, Dominic Peters and David Poole founded GoldFish in 2006, while studying music at college. Following the 2006 release of their debut album Caught in the Loop, the group began opening for artists such as Mr Scruff, Fat Boy Slim, Audio Bully’s, Basement Jaxx, Stereo MC’s, Peter Tong and Paul Vanwyk.
In 2008, GoldFish was nominated for the Best Alternative category at the first MTV Africa Music Awards but did not win. They did however, release their album Perceptions of Pacha on 29 August.
Friends and family enjoyed the day and eve picnicking and listening to funky tunes.
In 2009, they set a new South African Music Awards record for most nominations, with eight nominations including Best Duo or Group and Album of the Year, winning Best Engineer and Best Dance Album.
To date Goldfish has become one of South Africa’s most exciting live electronica acts.
