GBC Music Eve Celebration
Parents, families and friends were treated to an entertaining Musical Eve held at Greenwood Bay College on Friday the 17th November 2017.
The evening featured a multi instrumental ensemble of children tutored through Creative Music and representing GBC from Primary to High School. There were many well known and loved songs, featured on guitar, piano, recorder, flute and violin.
Some beautiful solo vocals were produced by, Rebekah Locker and Michaela de Klerk. Then a tear jerking rendition of “Bright Eyes” was performed by Josie Brohm, accompanied by her sister Bella on Guitar.
Well done to Kate Selfe who was awarded the ‘Rollo Scott Music Trophy’, for her continued dedication to music.
The GBC Junior Choir and Senior Ensemble sang a mix of favourite songs including “What a Wonderful World”, “Ode to Joy” and” Thank you for the Music”.
The evening ended off with an impromptu encore of the Hokey Pokey, played by Elan Scott with all the performers and audience singing and dancing along.
A big thank to Greenwood Bay College and all staff for a thoroughly enjoyable production!
