Bitou Rugby Club Dominates Arrows with a 39-14 Victory!”

Bitou Rugby Club displayed yet another impressive performance as they maintained their unbeaten record in the 2023 SWD Rugby club season. In a commanding victory, they triumphed over Arrows with a resounding scoreline of 39-14 on Arrows’ home ground in Slangrivier.

Meanwhile, although they haven’t achieved an unbeaten streak, the Sedgefield Eagle Stars have also made a strong start to the season. They emerged victorious in their recent match against Collegians, showcasing their consistent form.

Among the rugby clubs in Knysna and Plettenberg Bay, Bitou (SWD First Division B West) and Eagle Stars (SWD First Division A) have been the standout teams in this season’s campaign. Unfortunately, the Jaguars in the SWD Super League and Knysna United in SWD First Division A have encountered stumbling blocks and experienced lackluster beginnings to their respective campaigns.

Knysna United, particularly, will be disappointed with their performance thus far. In contrast to their previous season’s achievement of competing for semi-final spots, they currently find themselves in the ninth position on the league table. Meanwhile, the Jaguars have once again found themselves battling at the lower end of the Super League standings, following a recurring pattern in recent seasons.
