Apart from being a preferred landscaper at Val de Vie Polo Estate, we obtained the maintenance contract for the 22 hectares of polo fields.

Garden Maintenance

VIP Gardens specialize in all garden maintenance and supply services on your garden requirements. If you are looking for reliability and quality service look no further, we promise to provide excellent service to our clients.

Our equipment is well maintained and replaced on a regular basis. We clean our mowers every day to avoid carryover of weeds from garden to garden. Mower blades are replaced on a regular basis when needed.

Our maintenance teams are permanent workers and are trained in their line of work. We supply staff with protective clothing and they are supervised. 

Our Services include:

Mowing of lawns, trimming of edges, cleaning of flower beds, maintenance of paving, pruning of shrubs and roses, garden clean-ups, composting of beds, top dressing of lawns, tree trimming, landscaping and irrigation.

We have our own retail and wholesale nursery with a variety of high quality shrubs, trees, groundcovers and creepers. VIP Nursery has an estimate of 200 different plant species and a variety of rustic metal garden décor. 

Tuinontwerp: Waar begin ek?

Dit is altyd ‘n goeie idee om ‘n plan te hê – of jy nou net een deel van jou tuin oordoen of heeltemal van voor af begin. Begin deur mooi na jou tuin te kyk: hoeveel lig en skadu dit kry, die hoek waarteen dit lê, watter soort grond jy het, in watter mikroklimaat jou tuin lê, waar die waterpunte is, ens. Maak dan ‘n skets van jou erf en dui hierdie inligting daarop aan. Dit gaan van onskatbare waarde wees wanneer jy die tuin uitlê en plante kies.

Besluit dan op ‘n styl wat by jou huis pas en jou lewenstyl weerspieël.

Moet ook nie vergeet om dele af te baken vir spesifieke ruimtes wat jy graag in jou tuin wil hê, soos ‘n speelplek vir kinders of ‘n kruie en groentetuin nie. Dit help ‘n mens om jou tuin te visualiseer as jy die ontwerp op papier teken.

Hou die volgende in gedagte:
waarvoor jy die onderskeie dele gaan gebruik;
dat die harde en sagte landskap-materiaal volgens skaal en in balans moet wees;
dat verskillende vorms ‘n tuin nog interessanter maak;
waar jou fokuspunte gaan wees;
dat elemente wat herhaal word, ‘n ritmiese gevoel skep.

Die volgorde waarin ‘n mens ‘n tuin skep of omskep, is eerstens om die harde landskap-materiaal (plaveisel, paadjies, besproeiing) aan te bring, dan die grasperk te plant en laastens die plante te kies. Die belangrikste is om die regte plante vir die regte tuindele te kies – op grond van hoeveel son of skadu of water hulle nodig het. Dan kan jy met kleure, teksture en vorms speel. 

Beplant een deel van jou tuin op ‘n slag. Berei die grond voor en onthou om baie kompos in te werk! Posisioneer dan die plante (nog in hulle sakke) op die voorbereide beddings en skuif hulle rond tot jy gelukkig is. Dan kan jy begin plant!

Onthou: Jy sal wel foute maak, maar dit is gewoonlik maklik om hulle reg te stel. Selfs kenners doen soms die verkeerde ding!
