Father’s Day in Paarl
Father’s Day is coming up and what better way to show your Dad how much you appreciate him than spending the day with him this Sunday.
The weather forecast for Sunday is rather bleak, but don’t let that stop you. There are several things you can do indoors in order to avoid the rain.
Why not try one of our local museums? The Afrikaans Taalmuseum and the Paarl Museum will give you a deeper insight into our heritage, while the Drakenstein Heemkring has a fascinating collection of photographs of Paarl from earlier years. Please contact these establishments for opening times.
Paarl is known for it’s wine and has some great cellar tours. One of the most famous cellars is KWV, which has a variety of tours available.
In addition to cellar tours there are a number of wine tastings available. KWV Wine Emporium offers 6 different tastings, while Laborie Wine Estate offers 4 wine pairings along with the Laborie Estate Tour.
Perhaps your Dad would prefer to relax in front of the big screen. See what’s showing at MiniMax here.

We are pleased to inform you that our winter concerts will commence again on Sunday,15 June 2014 ( Father’s day).
Following the highly successful launch of their cd “Tango Dreams” where they played to a full house at Cape Town’s Artscape theatre, “The Cape Town Tango” ensemble will bring us an original and highly entertaining music programme.
Come and join us this Father’s Day for a hand-picked selection of their music performed by Stanislav Angelov on accordion , Albert Combrink on piano, Piet de Beer on violin and Charles Lezar on double bass.
This is a great opportunity to catch them in the Western Cape after their performance at the Hermanus “Fynartsfees”, before they head to Gauteng for a winter tour.
Booking is essential as space is limited.
