Saligh Dollie – Good looks, Great Personality and a Big Heart

Saligh Dollie
Saligh Dollie is definitely a book that should not be judged by its pretty cover.
Beneath the surface of this 22 year old lies a passion for helping the less fortunate. He has a true desire, and it is his life goal, to make a change in the lives of others.
Saligh moved to Paarl from Johannesburg in 2010 to study Marketing at Boland College.
He decided to take part in the Mr Boland College pageant for fun and to his surprise he walked away with the crown! Saligh then realised that this could be a great platform for him to give a voice to matters that lies close to his heart.
He then decided to take part in the Mr Winelands pageant, one of the biggest in the Western Cape, and with his good looks and great personality he clinched the title as Mr Winelands 2012. This resulted in an automatic qualification as a Mr South Africa finalist.
Saligh has been involved with pageant and runway pageant judging, even being a judge for the 1st South Africa National Runway pageant.
He also offers modelling and self-presentation workshops for prospective models.
In his spare time Saligh enjoys reading, particularly self-improvement books which offer food for the soul. He likes reading books which delves into the human psyche and is thought provoking. He is currently reading Kahlil Kibran’s, The Prophet. He enjoys going to the theatre and the last theatre production he watched was a romantic comedy-drama by Wellington’s playwright Jeremeo le Cordeur.
He is an avid sports fan and enjoys watching and participating in Cricket, Soccer, Rugby, Athletics, Kick Boxing and Volley Ball. He also coaches the U/10 Soccer team of Galactico Football Club in Paarl.
His love for sport and interest in psychology has shaped his dream for the future, as he would like to open a rehabilitation centre to help troubled and destitute young people through sports therapy. He believes that this is a healthy and uplifting way of doing it.
Saligh is the ambassador for the Khula Development Group. His involvement with Khula Development Group, where they help poor abused women and children, has further sparked his interest in getting involved in charity work.
Saligh wants to make use of his role as a participant in the Mr South Africa pageant as a stepping stone so that he can give exposure to companies that would like to be involved with charities. He wants to further his studies by completing a Psychology degree and so equip himself to make his dreams a reality.
