Avalanche stuns Origin of Trails Rider

In the waning days of 2023, Tsidiso Motsoahae, a fervent Panorama enthusiast, embarked on a captivating two-day journey at the Savanna Origin of Trails MTB Experience in the scenic locale of Stellenbosch. Partnering with Avalanche, the event added an unexpected twist by presenting him with a spanking new bicycle, elevating the joy of commemorating his decade-long friendship with Lwando Lize.

Arriving in Stellenbosch, Motsoahae and Lize were surprised to discover that they had enrolled in a two-day MTB stage race. Undeterred by their lack of training and trail riding experience, they embraced the adventure wholeheartedly. Motsoahae fondly recalls the event’s distinctive features, accentuating the awe-inspiring scenes at water points, exploration of new wine farms, and even the unexpected encounter with an airport in Stellenbosch.

Experience the Thrill of Savanna Origin of Trails MTB Adventure this 2024

The Savanna Origin of Trails offered participants an opportunity to win a bicycle from event partner Dragons Sports. Although Motsoahae missed the on-stage draw due to incomplete participation, Dragons Sports later turned his disappointment into joy by gifting him a bicycle. Luke Lockhart-Ross, the Marketing Manager at Dragons Sports, praised Motsoahae’s determination and enthusiasm, underscoring the company’s dedication to crafting enjoyable moments. As a token of appreciation, Avalanche bestowed upon Motsoahae an Avalanche Reflex 29er, setting the stage for his triumphant return in 2024.

Described as a world-class experience by Lockhart-Ross, the two-day event brought together riders for exhilarating journeys, refreshing Savannas, and a strong sense of community. While the thrill of the event couldn’t be relived the next day, the indelible memories endured.
