Dunlop Sure Warranty Upgrade for Bakkies
If you’re a bakkie driver, you know the struggle: tyres wearing unevenly, rotations slipping under the radar, and worrying if your tyres are keeping up with the demands of rough roads and city streets. To give you additional support, Dunlop Tyres’ Mileage Warranty just got a whole lot better for bakkie owners.
More tyre patterns covered
Bakkie drivers can look forward to an extended range of tyres coverage under the Mileage Warranty – the GRANDTREK AT20 and AT23 are now included in the programme – both covered for 70,000 km. The AT20 comes factory-fitted on Suzuki Jimny and Toyota Hilux, while the AT23 is Original Equipment (OE) for the Nissan Navara. They’re engineered for the kind of rugged versatility bakkie drivers demand, offering durability, confident handling, and comfort whether you’re hauling loads, navigating rough terrain, or cruising the highway.
They join the existing line-up of Mileage Warranty heroes:
– GRANDTREK AT5 – 100,000 km
– GRANDTREK AT25 – 70,000 km
– GRANDTREK AT3G/M – 60,000 km
Solve your rotation headaches
Bakkie owners often find rotations tricky – balancing work, trips, and maintenance schedules. Dunlop has made it easier: tyres now only need to be rotated every 10,000 km (up from 8,000 km). And with online logging and automated SMS reminders through Dunlop Sure, your next tyre rotation will be top of mind (although you’d need to still keep an eye on your odometre readings).
More tyres, more freedom
In addition, the Mileage Warranty now applies from just two tyres, making it simpler for bakkie drivers who replace in pairs due to uneven wear or who upgrade gradually.
Go further, worry less
“These updates make Dunlop Sure even more relevant for bakkie drivers,” said Lubin Ozoux, CEO at Dunlop Tyres South Africa. “It’s all about giving South Africans the confidence to go further – whether that’s the everyday school and work drives, or a bucket-list trip from Cape Town to Cairo, to mini weekend bush getaways, your tyres are built to perform and backed by a programme designed to make life easier and more reliable on the road.”
