#1 Quad biking to a Ghost Town

It combines conquering challenging climbs with breath taking scenery, and an intriguing glimpse back in time to the Gold Rush boom of the late 1800s. The 5-6 hour circular tour starts in Barberton and takes you to Eureka City, a gold rush town that was the ‘Gold Reef City’ of its day. It is not for the faint hearted or novice quad biker as some of the route is technically challenging. However, the incredible vistas from the top are an absolute WOW and make the exhilarating climb worthwhile!

#2 Abseiling down a waterfall
Mpumalanga is renowned for its waterfalls that attract people from near and far. Most people leave with a few photos and perhaps a curio or two. But, how about taking home some wet clothes and the thrill of abseiling down one?

Paragliding has to be the ultimate freedom experience, soaring like the eagles and vultures and sharing their unparalleled views of the world below. The exhilaration of taking the leap into the blue and the rush of air over the wings as you soar 100s of metres above the ground.
