Valentines day with heart
Nelspruit SPCA’s first fundraising event was filled with love, laughter, and tail-waggingly great food.
Kuzuri Restaurant hosted SPCA’s first fundraiser for the year on Valentine’s day. They pledged to donate 10% of all the proceeds of the evening to Nelspruit’s four-legged homeless friends. The venue was bursting at its seams and the evening was deemed a great success.
The chairperson, Lize Pienaar, and committee member, Priscilla Nell, of the new Nelspruit SPCA committee are very excited about the year lying ahead since they have big plans for the organization. The focus will be on upgrading the facilities like the vet’s room and fence maintenance. “The day-to-day running of the SPCA, payment of kennel staff, and food are high priorities, but the need for better facilities is equally pressing,” says Lize. “Providing good medical care and a place of safety for animals in need is fundamental to our work and long-term sustainability.”
