Summerhill 4×4 and Family Fun Day
Lowveld sun, family fun and adrenalin packed 4×4 routes all characterised an extremely successful Summerhill 4×4 and Family Fun day for yet another year!
This annual fundraising event for local primary school, Summerhill Prep saw about 3000 people walking through the gates to enjoy the full day of activities, food, games and 4×4 obstacles. This event aimed to raise funds to build a new IT Centre and more classrooms for the school.
The main attraction was the 4×4 obstacle course which consisted of eight stages. With mud flying and gears grinding, the course tested drivers and gave spectators a great opportunity to get close to the action.
While the dads tested their mettle on the 4×4 course, kids were entertained with creative carnival style games, jumping castles, horse rides and a cake icing competition. Mom’s were able to relax under shady trees of the Cake and Champagne Tea Garden situated on the edge of the Sabie River.
Other entertainment included a food and beer tent, karate demonstration, reptile display and more.
The day officially ended with a prize giving and the auction of a custom built 4×4 while the party continued well into the night.
