Mataffin, Mbombela – The running of the 28th Halls race was a huge success.

More than 1000 runners started at 07h00 on a clear chilly Lowveld morning. The pace was hectic and the competition strong and in just over half an hour the winners of the 10km race started streaming in. The winner of the mens 10Km race was Samuel Mathabata from Lowmed running club in a time of 33.26 .

In the ladies’ competition the overall winners was also the Junior winner. Miss Nomvula Sithole of Nkomazi club crossed the line in 43.45 to take both prizes.

The winner of the 21.1 race was the lowveld favourite Abednigo Mashaba from Born to win in a time of 1.11.55

Nedbank LVCC competitor​ Victor Mohlobo was the first Junior male to cross the line.

Nedbank LVCC wish to thank Halls for their continued support of this oldest running event in the Lowveld, and make sure not to miss next years race!!!
