Consultation and treatment

A complete case history and full physical examination will be performed at your initial consultation. This may include a spinal assessment, orthopaedic and neurological tests as well as a body balance and alignment check.

Chiropractic treatment primarily involves safe, gentle and specific manipulation of the spine and other areas of your body to unlock joints that are not moving correctly.

Additionally, soft tissue therapy such as massage, ischaemic compression or trigger point therapy, dry needling, heat therapy and cold therapy, electrotherapy and stretching and exercise advice may be employed.

Chiropractors are trained to complement the work of other medical specialists and will refer you to other more appropriate medical professionals if it is deemed necessary and is in the best interests of the patient.
