Dr Edrich Engelbrech is an ophthalmologist who practices from the Busamed Lowveld Private Hospital in Nelspruit with a special interest in cataracts and diabetic eye disease.
Dr Edrich Engelbrecht is a passionate ophthalmologist offering a full range of ophthalmic services.
He completed his MBChB at the University of Stellenbosch in 2005. He then worked at Rob Ferreira hospital from 2008 to 2013 after which he returned to Stellenbosch to specialise in Ophthalmology at the Tygerberg hospital.
He further established his private practice at Busamed Lowveld Private Hospital in 2017.
Dr Engelbrecht has a special interest in the treatment of Cataracts as well as Diabetic Eye Disease.
Dr Engelbrecht together with Dr Eksteen recently acquired world-class ophthalmic equipment which offers a range of benefits for patients with ocular conditions. The multimodal imaging platform combines laser fundus technology (photography of the rear of the eye) with high-resolution optical coherence tomography (OCT).
