Photos of Vodacom Hippo Hollow MTB Race & Trail Run | 2019
Hazyview – The annual Vodacom Hippo Hollow MTB Race and Trail Run took place again over the past weekend on the scenic grass banks of the Sabie River at Hippo Hollow Country Estate and Elephant Whispers Sanctuary in Hazyview, Mpumalanga hosted by legendary Sunshine Events.
Runners and riders descended on the the small town on the well-known Panorama Route for what is is one of the most memorable races that they will ever embark on – the opportunity to ride & run in a elephant sanctuary and then through a busy world class restaurant while diners were sipping on hot coffee and reading the morning newspaper.
Nico Bell took 1st place in the 60km men’s division with Bernice van Wyk taking honors for the ladies 60km race. There was also a Engen King & Queen of the Mountain award which both riders also took. See the complete race results here with race day photos below that…
