White River – The final race of the 2019 Demacon Max Wax MTB Series took place over the weekend on a chilly autumn morning at Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre in White River, Mpumalanga.

Event organizers, Sunshine Events created an unforgettable end to this inaugural MTB series in the Lowveld and thanked all their sponsors and contributors for a very successful 2019 season.

With a great turnout on the day, the mens 55km race came down to the wire with Christo Carelson and Reinhardt Viljoen being tied on points after 3 races. This race was to be the deciding factor with Christo just pipping Reinhardt at the end to take overall winner for the men 55km.

In the ladies category, Bernice van Wyk took flying colours and was crowned the overall winner of the ladies 55km in the series. See more results here followed by the photo gallery captured by ShowMe Nelspruit.
