Mbombela – Rooikat Liquor held their annual “Manne Aand” again last week at Mbombela Stadium and promised an evening filled with legendary rugby stories from Mr John Van Rensburg, delicious food from Kwanyoni Lodge and some insights for local rugby heroes the Pumas, and what lies ahead.

The evening did not disappoint, as a full presidential suite echoed with laughter and cheers every so often, lined with different liquor sponsors and was set up as mini stalls scattered across the large open suite area for patrons to taste and indulge in their distinct unique flavors.

Between the smiles, Mr Jimmy Stonehouse (former Pumas head coach now Director of Rugby) also reiterated the concern amongst the Pumas board for the lack of sponsorship that the union was going through, and the dire position that they find themselves and the professional players in with an uncertain financial future. He urged the almost 200 guests to pledge some kind of support and asked that they come together as a town and support the local team and spread the word.
