The 2018 Lowveld GIN Festival
Elmswood, Mbombela – The Lowveld GIN Festival held its inaugural event over the weekend just outside Nelspruit at the Elmswood Estate and it was by far the most anticipated and exciting new festival to hit the Lowveld since Innibos Kunstefees graced us with its annual presence
The lineup of great artists like Janie Bay, the sound of local artists CMDA Marimba Band, Scottish pipe music from The Stevenson-Hamilton Pipe band, Martin Bester & Band and of course the headliner Goodluck, kept the patrons on their toes. GIN, however, was ultimately the winner of the show, hosting over 20 GIN Distillers from across South Africa and abroad.
The worldwide GIN trend has found a revitalizing uplift in recent years – seen as the new kid on the block and now a must have “accessory” for events happening all across South Africa.
Goodluck took the stage for their 1st performance ever in Nelspruit, playing their well-known radio hits to a bouncing crowd under the autumn stars. This event is sure to become a Lowveld Annual Favourite, not to be missed.
All we can say is… welcome Lowveld GIN Festival – please come back every year until the end of days! #vivalowveldginfestival
