Nelspruit – In March of this year, SAPPI teamed up again with Mankele Mountain Biking just outside Nelspruit for their annual MTB Race but this year they decided to create a Family Fun Day with a Trail Run added to the festivities.

Food was provided by NG Kerk Nelspruit and live music by Anton Botha to keep the exhausted patrons on their toes until late in the afternoon.

The Sappi Mankele Family Day was also part of the Mpumalanga Marathon Series brought to you by MALALANE TOYOTA.

The Mpumalanga Marathon Series is open to all mountain bikers from all provinces. There will be 4 races in the series with the best of 3 counting. Series & overall series prizes are up for grabs with points being added for school participation.

Sappi’s plantations looked amazing with all the rain in recent months which made for an exhilarating MTB race and Trail Run on this Family Fun Day.
