Sharks vs Pumas | White River Rugby Club
White River – In an unprecedented move, the White River Rugby Club celebrated their 90th anniversary celebration and secured a once in a lifetime sport spectacular on their own grounds for all locals from the Lowveld.
The SHARKS from Durban made the trek down to the small humble town of White River to face off against local rugby heroes, the Steval PUMAS on a pitch many a Lowvelder has played years before. Even though the match ended 50-33 in favor of The SHARKS, the crowd stood tall and loud in full support of both teams and made for a breathtaking game of rugby.
Other matches on the day were between the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMI Airport) White River Rugby Club and the men from SASOL Rugby Club. The 1st team narrowly lost 24-22 to SASOL and made for an exciting bout just before the main event.
