Tree Planting for Arbor Day | Photos 2021
A delightful day was spent celebrating Arbor month, with Principal Makhubele and Mbhandule Secondary School
14 Sep 2021 – 20 businesses arrived at Mbhandule, Hazyview to each plant a tree as awareness of environmental issues faced today by businesses and their responsibility to help fight global warming.
Thank you to all the officials and dignitaries that attended, such as the Bushbuckridge Department of Environmental Management, the Counselor for the Bushbuckridge area, the Tourism industry representatives as well as Coca Cola. We appreciate your support.
The children had an educational day whilst assisting the companies to plant trees. The Bushbuckridge Department of Environmental Management talked about recycling to the youngsters and donated a number of recycling bins to the school. Louis Sibiya, representing Honorary Rangers, and Estelle Roe from SPEAR (Stop Poaching Endangered African Rhino) spoke about the conservation of the nearby Kruger National Park and the importance of protecting the animals and the environment.
